Are you interested in learning more about inclusive schools? Do you want ideas for designing lessons with a UDL [Universal Design for Learning] lens? Do you want to explore how to create or support classrooms that are engaging, responsive, and welcoming to all?
If you answered "yes" to one or all three of these questions, this workshop is for you! The activities, examples, and illustrations in this session are designed to help participants refine their vision and their skills when it comes to inclusion. In this high energy workshop, Dr. Kluth will discuss what inclusion should look like today and share relevant research, classroom examples, and illustrations of powerful practices. Come and learn tried and true techniques as well some out-of-the-box solutions.
Topics that will be addressed include "teaching up", joyful and active learning, UDL, collaboration and role sharing. This interactive day also features video clips, stories, community-building exercises, a game show reenactment, brain breaks, flying monkeys, and a microphone covered in glitter.

Here's what past attendees have to say:
"I attended (last year's conference) as a parent and the conference helped me in so many ways. First, it helped me realize that all of the times I fought my child what he needed, it wasn't crazy to think it should happen. Also, it helped me to understand what inclusion could look like for him. It also gave some amazing tools on how to move forward." - A Parent of a Child with a Developmental Disability
"As an educator, I know I can keep moving forward to change what inclusion is in my classroom with the ultimate goal being at the district level. I will be attending this year's conference and encouraging more colleagues!" - A General Education Teacher, Spokane, WA
“I thought Shelley Moore was the best speaker I’ve ever heard. And believe me! I see lots and lots and lots.” - Professional CART Provider
