VIRTUAL WORKSHOPS
Wednesday, September 7, 2022
Session 1: 11:00 a.m. – noon
Session 2: 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Since its inception in the 1970s, practitioners of ABA have helped innumerable individuals overcome barriers and increase independence in their daily lives. By having a full understanding of why a behavior is occurring, ABA works to find replacement behaviors, or communication methods, that are more appropriate for the situation. However, the field is not without criticism from self-advocates and others who have either received treatment in the past or are associated with one who has.
